Three pounds of marijuana found during traffic stop
News

An Auburn man was arrested Saturday morning after police said they found approximately three pounds of marijuana in the truck he was driving.

Hilton Kuykendall, 32, was booked into the Placer County Jail on charges of transportation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and probation violation, Auburn police said. Bail was set at $65,000.

Police said Kuykendall was driving a Ford F-150 that was stopped for a vehicle code violation at 11:55 a.m. Saturday on Highway 49 at Fulweiler Avenue. A police press release did not include details about the code violation.

Officers found that Kuykendall was on probation and searched the truck. Police said that during the search, they found the marijuana packed in several different containers.
