Auto Museum gets in the spirit of Halloween with “Trunk or Treat” & “Haunted Headlights Tours"

The California Automobile Museum is excited to present two spirited Halloween events – “Trunk or Treat” on October 29, 2017, for families and children of all ages and “Haunted Headlights Tour” on October 31, 2017 for ages 13 and over. The always-popular “Trunk or Treat” is a returning event while the “Haunted Headlights Tour” is an all-new offering this year.

“Trunk or Treat” – Sunday, October 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Spirited guests of all ages are encouraged to visit the Automobile Museum dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes ready to enjoy an afternoon of trick-or-treating and family-friendly activities on Sunday, October 29. Children will especially enjoy exploring the Museum and all the cars and costumed characters on this special day – they’ll even see a traditional burial hearse on-site – while finding goodies to fill their Halloween bags. Additional activities include hands-on crafts in the Education Center, storytelling, and a fun Halloween photo opportunity in Sparkplug Square. All ages are welcome and two children (in costume) get in free with each paid adult. All “Trunk or Treat” activities are included with Museum admission.  Regular Museum admission is $10 for adults, $9 for vintage (ages 65+), $5 students (ages 6-17), FREE for children under 5.

“Haunted Headlights Tours” – Monday, October 31 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
The community is invited – if they dare -- to attend the all-new “Haunted Headlights Tour” offered on Halloween night where spirited guides will share unsettling, strange, creepy, mysterious and even gory stories about some of the horrific and tragic accidents that have happened with (or in) some of the cars. These unique tours – that highlight automotive pasts -- begin at 6:30 p.m. and will depart from the lobby every 15 minutes. Guests may even run into some nice and not-so-nice spirits that still haunt the Museum and its cars. These tours are recommended for ages 13 years and older. Tickets for the “Haunted Headlights Tour” are $20 per person and include a spirited beverage in the Undertaker’s Lounge after the tour (for guests 21 years and older) and complimentary snacks for all.
