AUBURN - An Auburn man is believed to have killed himself after shooting someone else early Sunday morning.

The Placer County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Bald Hill Road at 3:50 a.m. Sunday following multiple reports of shots fired. Deputies arrived, and upon entering the home, found a man dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

During this time, a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds arrived at the ambulance entrance to Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital.
He was taken into surgery and expected to survive.

Deputies said they believed an aletercation between the two men led to the shooting. The man who shot himself was suspected to have shot the other man who was in his own car.

The Bald Hill resident, whose identity was not released, then called the sheriff's department to report that he had just shot someone. The same man also called family members before apparently shooting himself.
